WHAT WE DO...

     Our mission is to direct the course of redevelopment.  We recruit potential developers and tenants and ensure they are aware of the community’s vision for the primary district at 111^th & Kedzie.  We provide specific information on desired uses, zoning, and funding incentives like TIF/SBIF and Façade Rebate programs. We combine smaller parcels into packages more attractive to developers.

      In our spare time, we’ve hosted Out To Lunch (you might remember the Lloyd’s BBQ Pig Rig) chaired the Party in the Park, and raised thousands of development dollars at MONOPOLY® Tournaments.  We obtained the initial grant for the HUG Gardens at Mt. Greenwood Park and arranged for the painting of Mt. Greenwood Cemetery ’s fence in exchange for perennial garden space at its southwest corner.  We’ve organized Business After Hours networking events and provided service hours for students and scouts. We compiled and distributed more than 1,000 Business District Directories and have kept the community informed through our free newsletter for over ten years.
